Everyone Welcome For Santa’s Drive By!
AS the end of a very different year draws to a close, there’s still fun and festivity to be had as a socially distanced Santa invites everyone to a musical drive-by for charity.
Along with his helper Elf and firefighters from the Rideau Lakes Fire and Rescue , Santa will be at Lombard Manor Retirement Residence in Lombardy this Friday evening from 5.30-7.30pm, graciously accepting donations for the Build a Mountain of Food, Rideau Lakes campaign. He promises lots of cheer, hot chocolate and treats and a special broadcast so everyone can join in the merriment. There will also be a few shining fire trucks on site too; great for the little ones to see up close.
The senior residents at Lombard Manor are eager to spread the warmth of the season after such a difficult year of isolating and being without regular visits from the community. This event will make sure everyone remains safe, while still having fun and giving back to charity.
Everyone is invited!
Access the entrance to Lombard Manor, just shy of the Otterlake Road turning (or if you’re headed north on Highway 15, just after the turning for Station Road. Then pass through our parade drive; give Santa a wave and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and candy canes from the Manor staff and firefighters on hand. They’re collecting any packaged or canned goods for our neighbours in Rideau Lakes courtesy of the Build a Mountain of Food drive.
We really hope you’ll join us for this first of hopefully many, Santa Drive Bys at Lombard Manor! A great way to see Santa, show your support for a worthy cause and Rideau Lakes Fire and Rescue and to let our seniors know that you’re wishing them a Very Merry Christmas.
